Thermalex Automotive
Extrusion Products are standards in the supply chain of the auto industry
for both OEM (original equipment manufacturers) and aftermarket product
applications. As a QS-9000 and ISO-9000 certified extrusion supplier,
our multi-port, micro channel extruded aluminum tubing and shapes are used
extensively by global and US Tier 1 automotive suppliers. Thermalex extrusion
products are used in the international fabrication of thermal transfer modules
for such products as charge air coolers, fuel cells, fuel coolers, heater
cores, heat sinks, radiator cores, transmission oil coolers, and vehicle
comfort cooling.
|
 |
Thermalex also has extended its Automotive Products reach into the off-road
vehicle, industrial, truck, bus, mobile refrigeration, locomotive and earth
moving industries with durable, corrosion resistant solutions to the demanding
needs of massive, complicated machinery requiring heat transfer performance.

 |
Microelectronics
Applications and exciting, cutting edge technologies emerge daily and
Thermalex has micro-extrusion solutions for these new markets. The superior
thermal transfer properties of aluminum, extruded to maximize thermal surface
area to weight ratios, provide outstanding product applications for tomorrow's
new technology innovations, not possible with previous, older copper heat
transfer technologies.

 |
The HVACR industry uses Thermalex Micro-Flow® microchannel aluminum extruded
tubing in parallel flow brazed aluminum heat exchangers to increase performance
and push efficiency ranges up while significantly reducing product size.
The lower airside pressure drops and equivalent refrigerant drops are attractive
to HVACR manufacturers' design engineers who seek to reduce condenser and
evaporator coil face areas with microchannel tubing.
|
 |
Brazed aluminum microchannel
coils not only offer superior performance to older, traditional copper
tube-in-fin designs, but also offer improved corrosion resistance, as seen
in successful laboratory and field trial seacoast applications. Significantly
reduced refrigerant system charges, whether R-22, R410a, R-407c, or others
are typical when aluminum extruded microchannel tubing is used.
|
 |
From ductless mini-split products and room air conditioners to central or
home unitary systems, and light commercial HVAC systems, brazed aluminum
microchannel heat exchangers have application potential to achieve more with
less. In commercial systems, such as large capacity applied or engineered products,
including air to air chillers and refrigeration units, microchannel tubing
is in development to reduce huge condenser and evaporator coils both in face
area size and overall unit footprint.
